What is eStore?

Qbend's eStore platform provides a ready-to-deploy storefront for selling, renting and subscription of digital and print content via the publishers' own branding.

Digital distribution

Qbend's DAS solution provides a secure, easy, cost-effective way to distribute digital content with Digital Rights Management (DRM) for advanced copies, confidential publications, etc.

selling direct

The eStore platform allows content publishers to build one-to-one relationships with their customers and leverage the power of analytics to grow their business further.

Your own branding

Since 2010, the Qbend eStore platform has been powering the direct-sales strategy of many publishers from 18 countries around the globe. It enables publishers to build their digital sales focusing on the business rather than the technology, infrastructure or implementation. The eStore also provides publishers with valuable analytics information to better understand their customers and their needs and adapt the offerings to match the market needs.

customer analytics

The Digital Adoption System (DAS) is a software application that helps publishers distribute digital content (PDFs and ePubs) with Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions to various recipients. The DAS is web-based system that allows the publisher to load their titles on the server, input their recipient database and send automated messages to the recipients with a download link to download the digital content.

The DAS allows all of this to be done from within the publisher’s browser thus making it very easy to deliver digital content. The publisher can customize the e-mails that go out to the recipients and can also determine if they want to send the ebooks together or separately.

The DAS also makes it very easy for publisher to deliver content to students who have prepaid the price of the eBooks as part of their fees. This is a perfect complement to the Qbend eStore solution catering people who cannot purchase the books through an e-commerce setup.

The DAS can also be used to distribute PDFs for review to authors, reviewers or and others during the prepress workflow.

The cost for the DAS system is based on the pay-per-use model.

Speed

The eStore platform allows a publisher’s branded eBook store to be setup and launched typically in a week’s time. This is an extremely fast go-to-market option for publishers to field-test their eBook sales strategy. With ready-to-use payment systems and localization features, publishers can customize their eBook store to their preference in no time.

Ease

Publishers can be as hands-off as they like with the eStore. Key functions of running an eBook store like uploading eBook files, updating metadata, managing infrastructure, security, payment processing, customer support, etc., are all handled by Qbend based on the publisher’s requests leaving them to focus on creating and marketing great content.

SCale

There are no limits on how many books can be sold from the eStore. Publishers can also create localized stores for various countries, selling in their language and currency without any additional cost. This enables them to set differential pricing for their content and to enforce territorial rights. Qbend keeps improving the eStore platform in sync with market needs.
